A handcrafted small spoon by Master-Carver Elíseo Tolentino in Puente de Ixtla, Guerrero.

A handy little spoon is always helpful in the kitchen. These little gems are perfect for serving salsas and sauces and convenient for stirring small pots. 

These spoons, made exclusively for Rancho Gordo as part of the Rancho Gordo-Xoxoc Project, have a natural beeswax coating that will fade. You can condition the wood with any food-grade mineral oil or let it age naturally for a more rustic look. 

Maestro Elíseo Tolentino made these using all different parts of the same Guamúchil tree, so each spoon can vary a lot. You'll have to take your chances, but these handmade treasures are all wonderful. 

Approximate measurement: Between 7-8 inches long and between 1.5-2 inches wide.
